What Anki is, and why you might want it

Anki is a free spaced-repetition app for phone and laptop. It does the same job the player here does, bringing a card back just before you would forget it, with the advantages of being an app you already have open, of syncing between your own devices, and of holding cards from every subject in one place. Import the file and it handles the rest.

Re-importing a newer version of a deck keeps whatever progress you have made. Each card carries an identifier that does not change when the deck is rebuilt, so a corrected definition updates in place rather than arriving as a stranger with your scheduling reset.

The same cards on paper, eight to an A4 sheet, in a navy edition and an ink-saving print edition. Print double-sided, flipping on the long edge, and each answer lands behind its question; then cut along the borders. The whole-lesson check is not on the paper: its answer runs to several sentences, which is a page rather than a card.

Free to download and to use. The cards are original InkBiology material and are not offered under a Creative Commons licence: use them to revise, and please do not republish them as your own.
